How can I stop Norton VPN opening automatically on start up

I’ve been using Norton VPN on my PC laptop Windows 10 for over 6 months, and just recently I have an issue where the program keeps opening automatically every time I open or restart my computer. It’s just really annoying. I don’t need it or use it all the time. It didn’t used to do this. On my computer settings under Start Up Apps I tried to turn it off, but it’s stuck on ‘On’. I can’t find any setting within the program to stop this. Any ideas?

@Elaine1 Check the settings shown in this older thread. Its from the 24.xx release but the settings should be still in that general area. Disable VPN there.

Prevent automatic VPN

The ability to set the VPN not to run with Windows start should be in this area. These are screenshots from a previous build of 24.xx version before I reverted. [version 24xx added VPN while I was away and set to running by default] [just appeared in my norton install 10 23 2024] SA

Are you bothered by the pop-up menu or automatic connection?
If these settings do not help, you can restore all settings to default.

Yeah…I don’t know (for sure) whether @Elaine1 is running Norton VPN plan or VPN with Norton 360 plan.

Yes, I’m aware.
So, Norton VPN included with Norton 360 would/should be posted with Norton 360 plan board.

and Norton VPN for iOS | Android board is for Norton VPN plan - not for VPN with Norton 360 plan?

and we’ll presume Features of Norton VPN here applies to Norton VPN plan vs VPN with Norton 360 plan.
I wish Norton documentation would annotate in the doc header that Features of Norton VPN applies to Norton VPN Standard/Plus/Ultimate tier/plan.

In fact it’s not that the VPN turns on automatically, or the pop up menu. It’s the programme dashboard that opens automatically. And actually it’s not on start up, it’s when my internet connects.
