How do I become A Guru?

Hi All,

Can I ask a quick Q. How do I become a Guru? And Can anyone give me site rankings and what I need to do to get them

Hello PCWiZKid,

 

The rank structure is not made public as that would be counterproductive.  In other words, if members knew the requirements for each rank, someone could "play the system" for the sole benefit of gaining rank without making useful contributions to the Norton Community.

 

The best advice I can give you is to post helpful and meaningful content.  Read the original poster's message carefully to be sure you fully understand what the issue is. Your reply should be specific to the problem at hand and as accurate as possible.

 

Do not post messages just for the sole purpose of driving up your post count.

 

Quality means a great deal here.

You will find that most community members who have attained rank here are clearly doing it because they truly enjoy sharing their experiences and helping others out.

 

Anything else is secondary.

Here is a list of the ranks.  All of the ranks are shown with the exception of Norton FIghter, which is currently the highest rank.  What it takes to reach each level is a closely guarded secret - but it is clear that meaningful contributions, being knowledgable and helpful, are far more important than the number of posts that one authors.
