How do I block some youtube content?

My son spends a lot of time on youtube, mostly watching music videos that we do not mind, but we want to be able to block mature game walkthroughs.  The web settings block list in Norton seems to only be able to block an entire site, rather than certain site content, using the full URL.  Is there a way to get that granular with the block list?

Thanks for your help.

Hi davidson88,

If you have the Safe Search enabled on OnlineFamily.Norton, the program forces the Safe Search on the search engines.  In your example,  the Safe Search on Youtube.com is enabled.  Youtube will decide which videos are inappropriate and ask for age verification to view the videos.

We have the feature of monitoring each individual video on our enhancement list.

Thanks,

Katie

I've found Safesearch to be very hit and miss and kids nowadays are clever and will circumvent the process anyway.

For examply, Facebook now contains groups that are inappropriate and it's hard for Facebook themselves to keep up with progress.

How about monitoring YouTube usage instead and tell your Son He is on trust? The first time you see proof of Him viewing inappropriate content then warn Him. Advise Him if it happens again then you will permanently block usage?

Worked with my kids.
