How Do I Delete Norton Backup Drive (W11)?

Detailed description: Norton Backup Drive appeared in My Computer. The folder is empty.

Backup is turned off in Settings, and has been turned off since before my Norton Experience got “improved.”

I do not want to back up anything with Norton.

Product & version number: Norton 360, the new version that doesn’t show the version number.

OS details: Windows 11 Pro

Hi. I believe you’re talking about Version 24. The version can be found within the app.
I read your problem Bilofsky. I’m running Windows 10 and have many problems. None with Backup though. I also have mine turned off.

One of the many problems I have is that both Live Update and Software Updater run several times a day (check security history) please if yours is also set to off. Thanks!!!

Also I’ll tell you how to find the complete version number if you wish.

How did you display the Settings with the tabs? I tried right-clicking the systray icon and selecting Settings, opening Ny Norton and clicking the gear, and opening Norton 360 and clicking Settings, but none of them showed what you posted.

There is no N360_BACKUP folder in C:. (Show hidden files is turned on.)

I just want to delete the Norton Backup Drive you show with a red triangle from My Computer.

are you Norton 360 v22 or v24?
if you’re v24 and see Norton Backup Drive…then your v24 install is wonky

I’ll imagine you’re Norton 360 v22.x
Open Norton 360

Settings → Backup

turn off Norton Backup Drive → Apply
then turn off Backup → Apply and restart (not Shut down) machine

Thank you! Toggling Norton Backup Drive + Apply toggles Norton Backup Drive off and on, even without restarting. But I did restart.

Other details:

Open Norton 360, click Settings. No tabs.

In Program Files (x86)/Norton there are folders named 22.24.8.36.
