How do I know if Auto-Updater is on?

How do I know if auto-updater is turned on?

Norton just sent the message that we will get an automatic upgrade soon and to make sure that auto-updater is turned on. When I get to the Software Updater page, I see “auto-Update” and a toggle switch.

With the little black circle on the left side of the oval, the oval is gray. When the black circle is on the right side of the oval, the oval is white. There is no indication of what is “on” vs “off”. This is clear as mud. Which position is “on”?

Product & version number: Norton 360

OS details:

Hello. Are you still on the 22.xx version of Norton 360?

Reading your post again, I had the notion you are already in version 24.xx. If that is the case disable Software Updater as shown in this screenshot.

If you are on another version or just a subscription of SU this may be of help:

From my experience, Auto-Update OFF is meaningless - even though set to OFF it ran & UPDATED Firefox & possibly a Windows Preview Update.

It also done a clean up which I did NOT want done - this is done by ME using the inbuild WINDOWS procedures

How do I find out which version I’m on?
