How do I know if my mac is protected like my iphone?

I renewed my subscription on a trial for the first year of Norton 360. but it won’t let me add any devices, like my mac book computer. I have a Norton password protection on it currently but I think my protection has expired.
I do have an active Lifelock account. Are they now the same company?
