I have a file that keeps coming up as a trojan. It’s a safe file. I see in quarantine that I can restore the file but then NIS immediately quarantines it again. Grrrrr.
Ok, thanks!
I also have this problem, however the file in question is created by ourselves and will be updated everyday.
Can I create a rule to allow this filename & location permenantly ?
Chris
I found that you can exclude a folder (although not separate files). So, I just excluded the folder where my file is (excluded from scan and autoprotect).

soundchaser's solution will work if SONAR is not the engine that detects the file. If it is SONAR that detects the file, let it quarantine the file and when you restore the file from quarantine, select to add this file to the exclusion list for SONAR. You can not manually edit the SONAR exclusion list; you can only add to it vis the restore option from quarantine. You can also submit the file to Symantec as a false positive via this form or this site .
thanks for the info, however, I don't know what SONAR is
When I restore from quarantine - there's no option to add to the exclusion list
Go the main screen/computer/settings/exclusion. Add the folder as an exclusion.
