Dear All,
I have had to remove NIS 2012 (via Windows XP's 'remove software'), but now I want to ensure that ALL other traces of it are gone. However, I want to keep my "Norton GoBack", "Norton System Works 2005" (with the anti-virus disabled), and the "Norton Utilities 15" (that I got with the NIS 2012), and for various reasons I do NOT want to try removing and re-installing any of these (especially GoBack as I don't have one one the update files it would need). Please can someone tell me which files and regisrty entries are peculiar to NIS 2012 so I can delete them?
I am particularly concerned about some items that are labelled as follows:
Norton Protection Status;
symlcsvc.exe;
Symantec Service Framework;
Automatic Live Update Scheduler Service;
Live Update Engine COM Module;
Automatic Live Update Module;
LuCallBack Proxy Module
Thanks in hope,
Jess (XP Home SP3, 32 bit)
