I need to restore files from a backup set. It's my understanding that Ghost 15 does incremental backups, and that seems to be confirmed by the fact that all the backups after the initial (full) backup are different sizes. (If they were differentials, I would expect the subsequent backups to be increasing in size.) To restore, I think that I should restore from the initial backup, and then restore from each of the subsequent (incremental) backups in date/time order. However, when I spot-check the existence of files in each backup (using the Recovery Point Browser), I see the same files that have not changed since the initial backup in each of the incremental backups. Does that mean that the last incremental backup somehow "picks up" the files from the previous backups?
For example, files dated 7/21/12 appear in the initial backup made on 5/10/17. The same files, with the same date, appear in each of the incrementals. So the question is,
Do I really need to restore from each incremental, or can I just restore the initial backup and the last incremental (as I would if these were differential backups)?
