How do I stop auto renewal?

I have tried to stop the auto renewal program, which I didn’t even know I had until it showed on my credit card after the automatic update, but to no avail. I’ve read the instructions on the Norton site but they show a tab for automatic renewal and there isn’t one there. How do I get automatic renewal stopped? The only options that show on my Norton’s page is Products, Order History and Profile. One of my computers runs on Windows XP and the other one runs on Vista Home Premium…the auto renewal tab does not show on either system. How do I stop this?

Thank you but where or how do I find the order conformation and product key? I didn’t order anything, they updated me automatically last year. I tried to call the Symantec phone support number too and after getting through their whole system I waited for an eternity and never got anyone to answer the line so after about 25 minutes I hung up.

You had best contact Symantec Customer Support and chat with them - this is usually pretty quick:

They helped me when I had an issue with the auto-renewal feature a few months ago.

 

You can find your product key in your Norton account - it's always good to have a copy of it around:

Also your key is copied to My Documents\ Symantec for your convience when you install the product.  (That is, for the 2009 / 2010 products.  I am not sure about the previous ones.)

I had a problem finding the cancellation form for the ongoing renewal facility and found that by searching Google for 'Norton ongoing renewal cancellation form' or something like that I found the necessary form straight away and filled it out. It got cancelled right away. I too searched everywhere and couldn't find the thing!
