My Win 7 machine was fine until I got an update to Norton I clearly didn't want. It not only is missing the option to BLOCK ALL INTERNET TRAFFIC in the firewall, but it has a routine called Remediation\AntimalwareMigrationTask that wakes my machine up from standby.
What is the secret to make this thing stop running ? I have read there's something to do with Win 10 and it screws up Win 7 that's what's going on here. I read there is a 'fix' that supposedly repairs it on some machines but I can't d/l the darn thing. It just sits there and times out.
Totally unacceptable by any standard is all I can say.
How the he++ do I fix it? And YES I want to be able to block my internet connection whenever I choose like before. I never saw a firewall that didn't have the feature until now, removing it pisses people off and for good reason. I want more control, not less. I don't need a company that decides 'what's best for you'.
