Forgive me if I am in the wrong place. I wanted to send an email to Symantec tech support, but I kept getting redirected to the forums and I do not know how to contact them.
I have NIS 2011 running on Windows XP Pro. From time to time I would like to be able to completely shut down NIS 2011 in order to have a minimum number of processes running on my PC (which dates back to 2002) when I do things like burn an Audio CD or do a Freespace wipe. Right now I click all the sliders to Off and tell the Norton control panel to restart the features at reboot. But this does not completely close Norton Internet Security 2011 and often Norton will start to do a scan or some other maintenance in the middle of my CD burn or freespace wipe. This is very frustrating. If I use "Whatsrunning" I see two processes ccsvchst.exe attributable to Symantec running no matter what I do. How do I shut it all down till I reboot?
