How do I turn off valid digital certificate requests

How do I turn off those annoying notifications asking if I wish to allow a valid digital certificate check? They seem to pop up every 5 mins or so

Norton Security/360 v22 or v24?

Issue:
Detailed description:
Product & version number:
OS details:
Error message:
Supporting screenshots: Show details
Security History: related events

Note: Do not post Personally Identifiable Information like email address, personal phone number, physical home address, product key etc.

Finally, I’m able to respond after several previous replies were rejected due to the lamentable and interminable site maintenance

Anyway, to answer your questions:
Issue: frequent interruption by Norton notifications requesting permission to allow a connection which requires a ā€˜valid certificate’ request. It gives a series of options including ā€˜forever’ which I always select. It doesn’t make any difference. The same request keeps coming up. The ā€˜suspect’ connections are for legitimate apps such as Edge or MS updater requests.

OS: Win 10

Browser: Edge
Hope you can help. Screenshot attached.

any idea what statisticsinfo.exe is ?
is statisticsinfo.exe from a program installed on your machine?
What does See details in your screenshot report?

statisticsinfo.exe can be anything?
Google makes a reference to Glary Utility?

I went to this address https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/premierleague/index.html
I’m not registered at dailymail.co.uk…so, I’m not able to log in.

dailymail.co.uk is supported by ads
maybe, it’s an ad or some dailymail.co.uk feature calling statisticsinfo.exe
from this distance…?

are you US?
are you using VPN?
do you run Edge Sync?

Note: I’m not able to reproduce my side. I have a lot of Edge switches off.

Hi,
I’m in Melbourne, Australia. I don’t use a VPN and I’m not using Edge synch–as far as I’m aware. I have another Norton notification on my screen right now. I’m attaching the screenshot.

Caveat: I’m not familiar with PC Manager

I use PC Manager, but the larger problem is that whatever the app or program being flagged I always select the ā€˜forever’ option (as in ā€˜allow forever’) but that seems to make no difference as the same app or program pops up again and again.

So, not always PC Manager?
What DIY fixes have you tried?
Have you clean installed Norton 360?

Thank you for the suggestions. I will work my way through them and see what happens. I’ll post the result(s) here.

Problem solved! It was caused, as you suggested, by the Norton firewall being set on Automatic Program Control with notifications. I reset it to Smart Mode (see screenshot) and since then it’s been 24-hours without a notification. A sincere thank you for your continued interest in the issue and, indeed, the solution.

Maybe, you mean Automatic Network Control was Smart Mode with Notifications…which is default setting.

Yes, you are right. Should have said Automatic Network Control. I didn’t realize that ā€˜with notifications’ was a default setting. I think ā€˜without notifications’ would be a smarter choice

fwiw ~ with Automatic Network Control = Smart Mode with Notifications.
I’m not seeing annoying notifications ā€œto allow digital certificateā€.
