How do we use and understand BackUp?

I wish I understood exactly how to run the BackUp feature of Norton 360.  The helpfiles just are not clear enough for me.  Is BackUp a stand-in-place for Norton Ghost?  Is Ghost just like the BackUp in meaning which is already included in Norton 360?  Why was a copy on CD of Norton Ghost included with my retail purchase of Norton 360 if BackUp is already part of the included functionality of Norton 360?  In any case, I really do not know from the helpfiles how to use BackUp.  I do not know what choices to make from what links or which decisions to make for any choices. That help file for the use of BackUp really needs to be written much better, more logical.  More explained.

As I understand it, the back up feature in N360 is just that. A back up of your files.  If you lose your hard drive for some reason, you would have to start from scratch, reload the O/S, and all your programs.  You could then replace the files that these programs produced by using the backup saved by N360.

Ghost goes several steps further to image your drive, and save all the programs and files on it.  The programs have different functions and have different capabilities.
