I usually walk away and leave my comp running sometimes, all night. I have 4Tb of data. You can imagine how long it took for the initial scan. This leaves me with Idle scan running constantly. It's more wear and tear on my hard drives than I put it through in a day .
I have disabled it, but though it shows it is disabled, it still scans anyway. It's getting like Google - 'no you didn't mean this, you meant that' to 'no, you didn't want this off, you wanted it on' it scans away. I know a sulution is to turn the comp off. But, if I have to that it will be the third thing that doesn't work in NIS11 - which leaves me wondering - what else isn't working until I discover it!
Without uninstalling NIS11 completely, is there a hack that will disable the scan - other than the one in Settings > Computer Settings > Idle Time Scans [dropdown] "Off"? Off doesn't stop the idle scans. It doesn't change to On, it just doesnt recognize the off.
