As you can see in the screenshot my card has expired… but how the hell did they charge me without me updating it? now anti-virus become a virus… i dnt feel safe with norton anymore! wtf
Hello. Unfortunately the system will charge the card that is on file regardless. Many people have and are still complaining about this happening without any recourse other than update their payments information. And contacting support with a complaint that usually goes nowhere. Usually, Norton will renew a subscription between 30 to 45 days prior to a subscription expiring, the theory appears to be to keep your systems protected without any over laps. In your case I believe that have been the case IF, your card expiration day was within the last 30 days or so.
That actually has happened with me. My response to Visa was, I DON’T give a hoot about "policies’ or “agreements” with companies I do business with. Where when I didn’t even have a new card " in-hand " nor was I aware one had already been sent over a month prior and never received by me. My insurance company then used the “new card” information which Visa automatically and remotely put on my auto insurance policy account and it was rejected for payment promptly giving me a late charge. And can also be a factor for your insurance company to jack up your rate. I went off on both Visa and State Farm taking both to court about the ordeal and won. No company has any right to edit or alter ANY consumer accounts without their knowledge and expressed approval. Just for the record. With all due respect the above is nothing but feltercarb from where I sit. Corporate ‘policies’ cost consumers through the nose, but of course its designed to do just that.
