I have NIS2009 on two computers and just bought a third, also with NIS2009, which is on its 60-day trial. It is time to resubscribe on my other two and as I recall, a subscription is good for three computers. When I subscribe from one, how do I apply that subscription to the other two, both the one that already has a subscription and the new one with currently on the 60-day trial. It seems like it should be easy, but I cannot find the answer here.

I really appreciate all the information. This opens up a couple of other questions, though. Of the two computers currently running NIS2009, one came installed and I subscribed after the trial was over last year, and the other I bought and installed. Honestly, I don't know if I have the 1 or 3 conputer version. How can I tell that? I cannot find a license agreement.
Second, I tried getting into my Norton account and it seems all of my information is lost. By that I mean, I had no account. I used to. I have the e-mails saved from as far back as 2006 when I set it up and last year when I activated things and renewed the subscription on the oldest computer, but the login information does not seem to work. Any ideas there?
Probably related to that, I have not gotten any information about NIS2010, but the brand new conuter does have Win7, so I guess it has 2010? I cannot find an 'About' option to determine this.
Thank you again. I apologize for my ignorance, but your help is very much appreciatied.
Update: By just doing random things, I found that by verifying my subscription that I have the 3-computer version running on the computer at which I am sitting.
So I guess when I renew it, I can use that key for the other computers, too?
I would still also like to know what happened to my account, though.
Yes, if you have got 3-computer version, then you can use the same product key to renew your other two computers.
About your Norton account: please contact Symantec Customer Support at the link below - you can chat with them for free - and explain the situation to them; they are in charge of issues pertaining to Norton account details, subscriptions etc.:
Please do as Yaso suggests and contact Cusstomer Support, chat is said to be the easiest, and ata the same time see what the status is of the other installation since it might be 1 PC or 3PC and you might just find that Customer Support might be able to combine everything so you have just the three PCs for a longer period! Worth asking since I've heard of them adding time when something got really messed up.
That version ID comes up when you click on Help or Help and Support and then there should be About to click or hover over. But 2009 may be slightly different.
Your WIN 7 machine could be the 2009 version installed with the fix for Win 7 already or it could be 2010 -- the ID will tell you and which update it is.
Do let us know how you get on.
In talking with Customer Support it may help to have written down the other numbers on that About display -- the Serial number and the SKUs -- if they can't pull up your account immediately.
