Before posting this message, I've done a search an a "Google" but Idon't seem to find a clear enough answer.
How can I block an advertising url from bombarding me with publicity and closing my browser automaticaly.
I have anti-popup activated -both, IE 8 and Google's but NO WAY.
I supose that clearing all the cookies my do the trick but I'm still wondering if there's a simple way of stopping incoming trafic frpm a certain address to my computer. After all, NIS is a FIREWALL.
There is a post giving somme steps to do it but in the same thread, a guru advises not to add rules to NIS "unless is absolutely necesary..." Well, is very anoying that someone can take over control of your browser, close open tabs and show only a 90 x 200 page with publicity. No address bar or anything else.
Most opinions in the web, think it's a virus, malware, spyware... and sugest to run a scan with an antivirus. I've run an online scan with other apps and the results show nothing clear. NIS does not complain neither.
So, are we TOTALLY protected? I hope I am.
