How to check if your protection is activated

I ask this due to the requests for full disc access every time I reboot my machine and the pop-up prompt mentions that I need to complete set-up and activation, even though I distinctly remember that during set-up it said that Norton had been activated.

Iirc if the product is not activated, whatever that actually means, the product will not provide me with the protection I am paying for. Therefore, I need to be certain that the product is activated, despite seeing this pop-up every time I switch on my computer.

I would say, send us a screen shot of the Full Disk Access that is toggled. I don't have this problem and honestly I think it's a user mistake i.e.  not all permissions are given....

fwiw ~  I was just on Xtwitter/Norton Support.  I asked about Norton constantly asking for full disk access.

bjm_, thank you for the confirmation. I would like to inform you that this issue is a common issue as multiple permissions like full disk, accessibility need to be provide to Norton while installing and we also provide technical help if you are facing with these types of issue. - (name removed)

bjm_, thank you for sharing the information, I would like to inform you that you will require to provide permission to all Symantec file in order to stop the repeated Norton Full Disk Access prompt. - (name removed)

IDK what if anything Norton via social media can do...other than repeat Norton script.

bjm_, I am sorry for the inconvenience, the issue is that after the update the the Norton System Extension needs to be enabled manually and that is why there are these prompts but if you provide all the permissions the prompts may not appear. - (name removed)

Thank you for the message but I'm wanting to know if I can see from settings within the product that it is activated because if the product is not activated - whatever activated actually means in this context - it is not working/protecting me, correct?

Did you ask Norton Official Support?  I tried asking via social media.  Norton Official Support via social media requested screenshot of the pop-up prompt.  I'm not Mac. I've not seen pop-up prompt.

I've posted this on the forum rather than as a private message reply as any information on this would be helpful information for other users.

Rbt:

Thank you for that link but again, how can I check that the software is activated because, as I said, if it is not activated then I am not protected, regardless of whether I get updates?

I'm of the view that Norton will not be resolving this issue as it seems to have been ongoing since Ventura was launched more than a year ago. I think that going through the granting of full disc access every time one reboots is now part of the Norton experience.

Repeated Norton Full Disk Access prompt appears when you open Norton on macOS 13 or later
