I couldn't do this using the supplied instructions or the knowledge base, so I did a couple of chat sessions & still couldn't do it. Then after a little research, I came with the following. There may be a better way, but this works.
How to copy Windows Vista C:/boot drive to a new boot disk using Ghost v14
0) this works for SATA drives
1) format the target drive (C: drive to be)
2) reboot
3) under the accessories tab, use run to run diskmgmt.msc
4) highlight the target drive select the change drive letters & paths option, then
then delete the delete target drive logical letter (F: on my computer)
5) close diskmanager
4) use ghost disk copy to copy C: to target drive when you get a chance to
select the target drive letter, select C: if it's listed & <none> if it's
not.
5) copy the disk expect to wait 5-7 hours for a fast computer w/1 1TB drives
6) shutdown/power off
7) disconnect old drives & connect new drive
8) power on & reboot
9) it won't boot, but somehow Vista will magically appear & say to boot with
your original distribution disk & select the repair option
10) reboot your original distribution disk & select the repair option
11) vola! you are good to go
