How to delete Quarantined Items?

I have a few quarantined items in my Quarantine list. I'm currently using Norton Internet Security 2011. These viruses, as with any virus, makes me feel uncomfortable, knowing that they ares still in my computer. I want to delete them permanently so they don't pose a threat. How do you delete the quarantined viruses permanently???

Hi I_Kill_Viruses,

Welcome to the Norton Community. What version of NIS do you have? You can locate this from Support > About? Also what OS and SP do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?

Just so you know, anything NIS places in Quarantine cannot harm your computer as it is in a special area from which malware cannot run.

To delete the items permanently, click on Quarantine from the main NIS user interface window. Then click Clear Entries. This removes the Quarantine items from the log as well as the quarantine threat itself.

Can you tell us what malware was quarantined by NIS? You can also get more detail on the threat by clicking on More Details button.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Allen

Thanks Allen for the responce.

I am currently using Windows Vista 64 bit.

I have a few viruses, but it will take a while to copy all of the entities.
