How to enable my Keylogger

I am using Blazing tools Perfect keylogger on my PERSONAL laptop.  I just loaded up Norton internet 2011, and I cannot get it to work around this software.  I have put in the exclusion path, I have turned off the real time page checking, I have allowed "spyware/keylogger" in one setting panel, noted the names of the exe files, and still it will not run with norton on.

We need a good virus checker because we have the kids on the laptop, but we also need the keylogging, BECAUSE we have KIDS on the laptop.

Does anyone have any step by step advice on how to enable a key logger like this?

MaxSmart86 - Welcome to the Community and would you be willing to look into another option?  Have you looked into the Norton OnLine Family program?  Here is a Link to their site and the program does work well with Norton Internet Security.  It may be just what you are looking for.  Take the tour and let us know what you think.

Thank you for that suggestion.  After reviewing both products, neither seems to provide the features I currently have and the better of the 2 has a yearly fee.  I paid one fee of 17 bucks and have the software for life.  I am interested in full keylogging, not setting permissions.

Norton really should have a user friendly way of allowing the user to Allow applications to work.

There is a specific Forum for Norton Internet Security so I'll ask for your message to be moved over there or better exposure.

There are a number of threads running in NIS / N360 about excluding programs from deletion.

You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.

This Forum is for help with the Forum software itself and not the Norton Products.

MaxSmart86 - Sorry my idea didn't help...  Hopefully someone else will offer a better solution..  :smileysad:

Hi MaxSmart86,

Could you please clarify what you mean by the application not working?  Is Norton removing the program as a threat, are you getting some other Norton action, or is the keylogging program just failing to run properly?

Hi MaxSmart86,

Welcome to the Norton Community.

A follow on question as well. If the program is not being removed by Norton but rather just failing to run as SendOfJive asked about, you can temporarily right click the Norton icon on your task bar and click on Disable Antivirus Auto-Protect and see if this makes a difference. For best safety you can disconnect from the Internet before you do this.

Also, where did you put in the exclusion path in NIS (Norton Internet Security)? This should be done in Computer Settings > AntiVirus and SONAR Exclusions. Configure the program in Items to Exclude From Scans and Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect and SONAR Detection.

Please let us know how it goes.

Best wishes.

Allen

Max- a product that I use that plays well for the most part with NIS is called SpectorPro,been using it for years.  Only drawback is it costs a yearly fee but is worth it in my opinion.

Norton detects it or should as "spyware.perfect" which should be in the signature exclusion list for you to have Norton Exlude that signature.

The list is similar to the screenshot below I used for another poster in the past. to show the list.

The application is not running.  Norten is stopping the exe.  I put the full path in the exclusions as well as detailed the executable and still it wont run.  it also seems to be blocking the sending of the logs from that pc to my email account.

Hi MaxSmart86,

Did you configure the Signature exclusion as Quads suggested?

Best wishes.
