How to make a dll seem safe

Hi there;

I have an add-on for a charting package that has a dll that is being flagged by Norton 360 as being a Trojan.

How do I tell Norton that this is a safe dll and it can ignore it. Right now it's guaranteeing the file and so neither my charting software nor the add-in work.

Thanks for the help.

If you are certain that the file is safe, you can click on History>quarantine and highlight the file entry.  Click on more details, and you should see some options to submit the file to Symantec, restore the file, and ignore.

Thanks for that - Only problem is, the second I restore the file it gets quarantined again. I don't see any "Ignore" option.

BTW - I'm running Norton 360 version 4.3.0.5

You can also look for scan exclusions is settings.  The file will need to be added to both scan and auto protect exclusions.  It may not stop it from being quarantined by Insight or sonar, but I'm not sure if there is a successful way to deal with that.

Is there any information under more details that tell you which component is quarantining the file.
