After the recent upgrade I find “Norton sandbox” in the root of my primary drive. How do I safely move it?
PS: Anybody else think installing folders in the root is unconscionable?

What is your OS and its version? My Windows 10 daily machine doesn’t show anything related to sandbox with Norton in root.

Curiously, it didn’t happen on Windows 10 Pro (up-to-date). It did happen on my laptop with Windows 10 Home (also up-to-date revision-wise).

try Show hidden files, folders → Apply + cycle File Explorer
I don’t use File Explorer, except when absolutely necessary. I use Double Commander with the hidden and system files shown.
Okay
That setting is one I set as default when installing or setting up a new computer. Already have it enabled.

Okay
Um, have you run anything in Norton Sandbox…yet?
Negative!! No need for it thus far.

Maybe, Norton sandbox folder is created with initial run.
Maybe, sandbox a browser…just to see.
I’ve played with Norton Sandbox…just to see.
I’ve run Sandboxie long time…so, I was curious to see what’s what with Norton Sandbox.
Learn more about Sandbox [here]
I didn’t do anything regarding sandbox. My main PC upgrading Norton 360 (was warned it would happen). I saw nothing and did nothing on the laptop. The “Norton Sandbox” just appeared on the root directory.
Thanks for details. I was gonna’ have to wait for next clean Norton install to see whether Norton Sandbox folder was created with install or with initial run. Thanks again.
While this may still be an issue, my Norton 360 app on my laptop got completely screwed up. I uninstalled and re-installed to fix it.
Probably this Sandbox in the Root folder issue is moot. Before re-installing it seemed like the app was half way between the old version and the new version.
