Ok, so I decided to uninstall Norton a few weeks ago, and my license SHOULD not have expired yet, but I can find no way of getting it back on my computer. First off, how should i approach this problem to reinstall it? Then I will have to see what works and update the specific problems I have been having. Should I be able to reinstall it and carry out the rest of my registered time?
Hi Asian1,
Please do the following:
Depending on which edition of Norton 360 you have got, please download the correct edition of Norton 360 version 4 from the appropriate link below and save it to your desktop:
Norton 360 Standard Edition version 4 (English)
http://buy-download.norton.com/downloads/CLT/N360/US/2010/4.1/ESD/N360-ESD-17-6-0-32-EN.exe
Norton 360 Premier Edition version 4 (English)
http://buy-download.norton.com/downloads/CLT/N360P/US/2010/4.1/ESD/N360-PREMIER-ESD-17-6-0-32-EN.exe
You will also need your Norton product key in order to activate Norton 360; during activation, your subscription days will be picked up automatically by Norton 360. You can fetch your product key from your Norton account:
http://www.mynortonaccount.com/
Install Norton 360 and type in your product key to activate it; during activation, your subscription will be picked up automatically. Also, run LiveUpdate in order to obtain the latest updates and patches, and reboot your computer.
During activation, a notification may pop up saying that you have exceeded the number of allowed activations. If this happens, please contact Symantec Customer Support, and they will reset your activations for you. You can chat with them for free over here:

Plus I would try to run the Norton Removal Tool, which removes every left over files and registry keys, that can cause any trouble.
You can download it from here: www.norton.com/nrt
And can you please tell us what security product did you installed after you removed the Norton product? Did you removed it before trying to install Norton 360 again on your machine?
After a bit of poking around on my account, and using that download link I was able to get it going, thanks! It automatically picked up the remaining days left, thanks!
