How to remove Microsoft Edge browser from Windows 10

Since Norton Family is not operative when someone opens the browser with Microsoft Edge, is there a way to completely remove the Microsoft Edge browser?  I understand that the browser is now part of Windows 10 and the old system of disabling and removing it are no longer available.  How does Norton Family handle this?  How can users permanently remove it so it doesn't interfere with our attempt at internet safety?

Thanks.

For the answer concerning browser extensions, I would have to reach out to the NF team. Given that Norton has never publicly given time frames for updates and additions to products releases, you can subscribe to the Norton Family for Windows thread here and get notifications when new additions are released.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.  Just one follow up question.  Is there anything in the works between Norton Family and Microsoft that allows for browser extensions?  If so, when might this happen?

Hello z.hat Edge is embedded into the OS and cannot be removed "officially". There are third party scripts that will disable it however I won't post any links to those here for the sake of liability. You can select another browser to be the default browser on Windows 10 in settings. Here is some more info for Norton Family.
