My Norton Internet Security will be active until Sept. 2020, Windows10. But a few days ago I downloaded Norton 360, and received its key.
What to do next? Just wait to Sept. 2020? Or activating Norton 360 manually, I guess by running file DSP-N360-ESD-22.20.1.69.exe? Do I have to uninstall Norton Internet Security before running the exe?
Thanks. Plukker26
Thanks. I too understood that NIS will slowly be replaced by Norton 360. But I do not think it will happen automatically.

From what I see the Norton Internet Security is being replaced without choice, probably because the NIS is being phased out.
I presume you can opt to turn all these features off and on, as I do not need all the features offered, nor would I have paid for them.
There are emails circulating that the product will be automatically updated soon without your permission and as a replacement to what you already have.
FYI.
when you run the installed you downloaded
Sorry. That should be run the installer.
If you have already downloaded the installer, there is no need to go to the Setup page on the Norton site. That would only download the installer again. You can just run the installer, and follow the directions and install the key when prompted.
I downloaded Norton 360 and the key directly from Norton. Norton had sent me an offer: on upgrading to Norton 360 the remaining time of my current Internet Security will be transferred to Norton 360.
Thanks to your answer I now understand that on activating Norton 360 the older product will be removed.
A last question: you said "run the installed." Do you mean I have to run the executable I downloaded, and enter the key when asked so? Or should I go to the set-up page of the Norton website, enter the key and follow instructions?
Thank you very much,

If you enter the product key for the new 360, you will lose the remaining time on your current Internet Security subscription.
Where did you purchase the new 360 product. If directly from Norton, your new subscription will have already started. So you would need to contact Norton Support and ask them to combine the available time from the two subscriptions. www.norton.com/contactcs
It is up to you if you wish to continue using the older product or upgrade now. There have been many issues with the VPN feature of the new 360, so if you want to use that feature, you might want to wait a little longer.
When you are ready to upgrade, when you run the installed you downloaded, it will automatically remove the older product and install the new.
