How to stop excel opening as read only?

Since the las update of Norton 360, excel files opens in read only, even if never saved as read only. How can I stop that?

Thanks! To open in safe mode did the trick. So strange though, because no add ins are active, no protected view or any boxes ticked for read only anywhere.
