How to stop V24 install?
And where to download V23 to install instead?
Tray icon now longer shows status is a show stopper.
To stop the update to v24 you need to turn off Automatic LiveUpdate. But remember that that will also stop all other feature/security updates.
You can try downloading the older version here. http://www.norton.com/cspn360 Last time I downloaded there it came up with a strange file name and extension. I had to rename it to Norton360.exe. I checked the file properties and it noted ver 22.x.x.x. I did not try running it.

With this new app you have go check the tray icon. HOW USER FRIENDLY!!!
The version is garbage. Backup is now gutted so it ONLY has cloud backup. It also has no way to choose your existing backups to restore anything. Total and utter garbage. Norton needs to fire the product manager.

True. Did here as well. Going back to ESET. Can’t deal with the grade school GUI, or the fluff that nobody needs
peterweb’s link is the way to go. If you do a clean install, then do the updates, at around the 4th update, it will install the new version. Then go back, uninstall the new version, reinstall version 22, then do the updates again. It will never update to the new version again. The last version is 22.25.3.5. Norton is still supporting this version…for now.
