How to turn off features?

I have been having a little trouble navigating the communication protocols of my "newbie" acct. I only want to close down any attempt for Norton 360 to do a disk defrag, as I have used & loved Diskeeper for a few years, and consider MS defrag a poor substifute.

 

Q. Do I have to close down a 360 maint. group of some kind, or can I close individual maintenance? Such as, I totally closed down the backup as I use Carbonite for offsite backups.

Not quite that simple!

1. Open 360

2. Tasks

3. Settings

4. Tasks Scheduling

 

It is simpler to go:

1. Open 360

2. Settings

3. Tasks Scheduling

 

At that point one may disable (un-click) certain tasks.

 

You did get me on the right area; the whole system could be designed a little simpler for the simple-minded such as myself.
