My new HP OfficeJet Printer/Scanner is WiFi connected. It prints fine. But, when I try to scan a document, it says "Scanner reported an error". I only way I have found to get it to work is to go into Norton setting and turn off Application Blocking. Then it works fine. But, I don't want to have to do that every time I want to scan something. Is there a filter list so I could exempt the scanner traffic from Application Blocking without totaling disabling ALL Application Blocking?

I do not have a Norton router. I have an Apple Airport that functions as the WiFi access point connected to a Comcast model. It's firmware is version 7.7.9 and I doubt that either is the problem since the scanner works when Application Blocking is turned off.
Hi DebraLBlackman:
What is your Norton product and version number, and what is your computer operating system? If you use Norton Security or another Norton antivirus product the version number can be found at Help | General Information | About.
If you are referring to a Norton Core WiFi router, please see Brian T's recent thread Norton Core blocking Printer/Scanner and IOT equipment discover in the Norton Core board.
