I have Norton Internet Security 2009 and Symantec Website has listed new IPS entry called "HTTP MSIE7 Uninitizated Code Exec" IPS. However, I checked my IPS entries in NIS2009 and found no such IPS for this entry. I think this entry is for older Norton Internet Security 2007 and earlier versions. Possibly, my NIS2009 have built-in browser protection (addition to IPS) which serve this purpose so I may not need that IPS for IE7 uninitizated memory code execution vulnerability.
I already have my IE7 patched against this vulnerability last 2 weeks ago anyway.
