Norton has set up a broken system, ensuring that their customers will not have the chance to bother the Norton customer support personnel. You can attempt to call, but you are required by an automated system to enter a verification code that is impossible to get. The Generate code button on the Contact Norton Support page does not work – nothing happens when you push the button. I tried changing my browser from MS Edge to Chrome, but it does not matter, the button does nothing.
After hours of trying different ways to proceed with a phone call, I gave up and decided to try the Chat online instead button, since it was just below the non-functional Generate code button. I waited for over an hour for a real human to start the chat. When the person did respond the first thing they asked for was a verification code. . . you know, the one that is impossible to get.
Why would anyone that has experienced this run-around with support think that continuing the Norton Service was a good deal? I started to investigate how to end my service and get a refund . . . you can’t, if you paid for the service more than 60 days ago.
Norton executives should be ashamed of the dismal level to which they have let their customer service sink. If half the amount of effort was put into the systems for customer service as are obviously placed into selling me more services, there is no way their systems would be this broken.
I have found it difficult to remain professional while writing this message. Frankly, I was very tempted to use language of which my mother would not have approved. I have been a paying customer of Norton for well over 10 years, but that ends when the subscription is up. So, I can look forward to starting a new plan with a different company for this type of protection.
How do I get a 10 digit code to start a support call?

I have tried to update my credit card information, but keep getting an error "We are unable to process your order from the information provided. Please re-enter your payment information or try another payment method.". I've tried to contact support, but after the convoluted series of clicks to actually launch a chat or call for support there is a button to click that should provide a 10 digit code to start support. The button doesn't work. I've tried Edge & Chrome on my laptop and Safari on my iPhone. I've checked cookie settings and those are set correctly. I've tried incognito. This seems to be a site issue on Norton's end and not on mine. There are no other corporate numbers to call on their website. There seems to be no way to actually contact them for support, which is troubling. Can anyone help me out with how to actually speak to someone in support at Norton? I'd sure appreciate it.
Still very odd that is required to simply get a chat popup to show. Thank-you, I have, after hours of frustration trying to contact Norton in any way possible, am in a queue waiting to chat with someone.

Jim in Auburn,
Yeah, Community hears complaints/comments from users not able to reach support.
So, know - issues reaching Norton Official Support...is not just you.
I'll post what works for me, my location, my machine.
I really wish I knew why - what works for me - does not work - for all.
Sorry
~ have you tried Norton Official Support via social media.
Norton Support via social media [here] has not required identity verification code...by my experience.
Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, I did check the spam folder, no messages. The button has no effect . . . no change in the web page and no emails are sent. The chat representative did not offer to take my email, they only wanted a verification code.
I appreciate you checking and am glad the system works for you.
