Symantec does not like Pastebin being used on this forum.

Paste bin is merely a paste website. I was on my mobile so the best thing I can do is to paste the entire message into paste bin. Here is the tiny urls (so that you can easily remember it) for the download:
Sophros tool

Symantec tool

Sorry - I already used the flash drive, and it's working . It is scanning right now, and found the Virus "W32/ConfikMem-A".....but now it's showing the scan it could not open a lot of other files to scan. I'll let you know what happens in the end instead of this running commentary :)
But remember to NOT plug/use the thumb drive/USB flash disk into the "clean" computer without disinfecting it first by either "Formating" it or scanning it with NIS11
Right....thanks for reminding me to do that.
My laptop is fixed!
This is an awesome forum, and many thanks to those of you who took all the time to help me.
Best wishes,
Jane
To make sure there is no other malware installed, download and run malwarebytes malware
After installation, open the program and run a "Full scan" after updating MBAM defs.
Another good on demand scanner is superantispyware.

To others: there is a portable version for SAS now.
Good to hear, jane123. Please follow Tywin7's advice to do some scans, particularly with Malwarebytes'. If one malicious program was installed on the PC, there is a strong possibility that there may be others, as well. Go to WIndows Update again and make sure to install any High Priority items recommended in the Express Install category.
