Hi,

Hello,
It is unlikely it is a virus. Some USB sticks have recycle bins, some have not. It depends on how their hardware device descriptor is configured. Most likely your USB stick is seen as a regular drive and has a recycle bin built in.
There are reports of this folder sometimes containing a virus…when do I know if its a virus or not…or your saying its not a virus at all times?
You can scan the USB individually and see if this is infected.
Open My computer, right clicl the USB and select Norton Internet Security and click on scan now.
Let us know the results.
A small correction to the previous post.
when you right click, product which should show up will be norton 360 and not Internet Security.
My apologies for getting that incorrect.
norton says its not a virus, however it seems to take space on my drive and people claim other antivirus say its a virus. The question is, even if its not a virus, could it get infected with one?
As mentioned earlier in the thread,It should not be an infection.
Also if the USB has any infected files,Norton has the capability of catching them up and alerting you.
So you need not worry about that.
