I find that my Internet connections via Norton VPN suddenly slowed

I find that my Internet connections via Norton VPN suddenly slowed, about a week or two ago. It used to be that my nominal 400pbs connection with Norton VPN was almost the same speed as without the VPN. Now it seems much slower. This is particularly noticeable when opening web pages; without VPN, almost instantaneous, with VPN, several seconds to load each new web page. I primarily use Edge, but I tried Chrome and found similar results. Has anyone else noticed this?

[Edit: Calrified the subject]

My VPN is cancelling and slowing down my connection as I get over 600mbps with no VPN and then less than 100mbps when it is on.  Do not think I should be paying for a service that doesn't always work properly as this has been going on for weeks with nothing resolved.

NordVPN is highly rated, exact same price as Norton. Planning to switch to that if Norton doesn’t stop blaming it on my system and fix this soon.

Too bad Norton doesn't have the desire to fix it.

Support is still not willing to answer their phone. I tried the Canada route for a month and we're back to capacity issues again. This is bad enough that the password vault is failing again. It quit sending the authorization to my phone about two weeks ago. I tried whitelisting [split tunnel] some of the specific apps and for some reason that is also failing. Maybe not a true white-list. Good Luck Guys. You're paying for features that are not working and it's a pain in the tail to change to another provider. And of course Norton wants to sell you more security. There is no way I will trust them with anything new, when the features they already have don't function properly. Any suggestions on a dependable VPN provider? I am using an open source app for my passwords. [KeePass]

My speed is going from 400 Mbps to 15!

Well, I have begun a trial of another VPN. It seems nearly as fast as with no VPN, just like Norton VPN used to be for me. I think I will just abandon Norton VPN. I do not have the time, inclination, or patience to try and figure out what the problem is. Thanks to PERMALINK for your attempts to help!

Can you get and post speed tests for with and without the VPN? There is always going to be some speed reduction with a VPN due to the overhead involved with encrypting and decrypting your data as it leaves and returns to your computer. Some see greater speed reduction than others, and we have not always been able to figure out why this happens.

OK, I tried Singapore and Canada. No improvement, in fact they were both a bit worse.

Try using a different VPN region.  Click on the down arrow beside the Turn on/off beside the VPN feature and then click on VPN Region. Choose a region and test your connection again.
