I have 2 Norton security ultra subscription

1 is a free trial Norton security Ultra subscription & the other is an annual Norton security ultra subscription. I removed the free trial one off the computer but when I tried to download the full version one I get an error code.

I have the same problem with Norton Security Ultra. I have a new laptop without an operating system, so I’m installing multiple software programs. Today, I tried downloading a prepaid license (or subscription) from Norton, but the same message popped up. An interesting coincidence.

@Martin_Zabojnik Do you already have an active Norton account where this subscription for NSU is active, not expired, and downloading from there? If so make sure you remove the older unused licenses from subscription. Retry.

@Aswad_Burnett Please run these removal tools to get rid of remnants of older installs:

Versions prior to 24.xx removal tool:
https://norton.com/nrnr

Versions 24.xx & 25.xx removal tool:
https://www.norton.com/nortonremover

Restart and retry installing after running removal tool that works for the older installation. Both of you please let us know your status so we can follow-up!!

Subscription expires on October 9, 2025. Licenses used 2. The number of devices on which I have Norton is two. Now I must apologise for the possible inaccurate path because my main language is Czech. So, under My subscriptions is Norton Security Ultra, under is Yearly Subscription: active (with green checkmark). Then, in that section, there is a yellow Download button. I click on it. It then takes me to a page with: Download Norton Security Ultra. With two options. Install on this PC or Mac OR Install on another device. I chose the first option. Then An error occurred, please try again ID požadavku: 467baff86df3643ee8e7aad7e65d53b4. And that’s basically my whole problem.

Fine, so it is Bitdefender Family Pack.

I’m curious…what did Norton support say about your “Something went wrong” message?

AI Overview
If you see the message “Something Went Wrong - Please Try Again Later” on Norton, it usually means there was an issue connecting to Norton’s servers, potentially caused by a temporary network glitch, server maintenance, or even a problem with your internet connection; the best initial step is to check your internet connection and try again later; if the issue persists, you can check the Norton service status page to see if there are any known outages.

AI Overview
The error message “Something Went Wrong” in Norton Security Ultra generally indicates a problem connecting to Norton’s servers or a temporary issue with the application itself. The first step is to check your internet connection and try again later. If the issue persists, consider restarting Norton or your computer, running a LiveUpdate, or checking the Norton Service Status page.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown of potential causes and solutions:

  1. Internet Connection Issues:
  • A temporary glitch in your internet connection can prevent Norton from reaching its servers.
  • Try restarting your router and modem.
  • Ensure your internet connection is stable and strong.
  1. Norton Application Issues

Restarting the Norton application itself can often resolve temporary glitches.
Sometimes, restarting your computer is necessary to clear out temporary files or resolve conflicts.

  • LiveUpdate
Running LiveUpdate ensures you have the latest version of Norton and its definitions, which can help resolve outdated issues.
  1. Service Outages
  • Check the Norton Service Status page to see if there are any known outages affecting Norton’s services.
  1. Activation Issues
  • If the error occurs during activation, ensure the activation process is not interrupted.
  • You may need to uninstall and reinstall Norton if the activation fails.
  1. Conflicting Software
  • Other programs on your computer might be interfering with Norton.
  • Temporarily disable other security software or programs to see if the issue resolves.
  1. Uninstall and Reinstall
  • If all other troubleshooting steps fail, consider uninstalling Norton and then reinstalling it using the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool

I removed my free trial subscription this morning it had two days left. on my subscription page it say trial canceled. didnt work

@Aswad_Burnett Where did you purchase your Norton Security Ultra subscription? Purchased from Norton or a third party retailer? Are you installing in the same region you purchased your Norton product?

Did you follow these steps?

Did you use the Norton removal tool I linked to make sure you have ALL Norton files removed?

@Martin_Zabojnik

I’m confused a bit as to whether we are discussing a Norton product or Bitdefender. Did you have that product previously installed?

SA

I purchased it from norton I have a year subscription it was renew last month. I did the removal tool didnt work.

This question is an important one. Are you installing in the same region you purchased your Norton product? Thanks in advance.

SA

Yes, I am installing in the same region I purchased the norton product

No VPN being used? Ad blockers active? If so disable them and retry the install and activation. Trying to cover all the standard things to ask before escalation.

SA

My norton safeweb was still activated in extension. I just removed that & the download work. thanks

@Aswad_Burnett You are most welcome, that news is soo awesome. Thank you for working with us to get that solved.
