If you have un-installed all of N.I.S. 2008 and are not using the 2008 Product Key on N.I.S. 2009, then go ahead and install N.I.S. 2008 on your fourth computer.
Did buy NIS2009 or just dowwnload and upgrade the existing 3 PC's? I believe that if you downloaded and upgraded then you cannot use 08 on the 4th PC, as the subscription end date did not change. and the license for the original 3 PC's is still in effect. If you bought 09 new, and installed on the original 3 PC's then NIS starts fresh on those three and CS should be able to allow you install 08 on the 4th PC.

When you write you recently "...upgraded to NIS 2009 in 3 PCS..", I'll need to know exactly what you did in order to determine what you can do.
If you purchased the Upgrade of NIS 2009 (to be used on up to 3 PCs), and you had to enter a new activation key, then feel free to install NIS 2008 on your 4th machine. Keep in mind, however, that the previous subscription period will not reset for this 4th PC; your previous expiration date from the other 3 PCs with NIS 2008 will remain the same when you install it on the 4th one.
If you purchased a Subscription Renewal and Updated to NIS 2009,then you will not be able to install NIS 2008 on the previous machines. The subscription renewal is an extension of your NIS 2008 subscription, not a separate subscription purchase.
