You need to enable “Hide protected operationg system files” in your windows explorer->Tools->View->then enable the option.
Hey people.
I got a problem. My computer have been infected with some sort of worm. There is this file desktop.ini keep reapperingin every folder. And there is this folder named $RECYC and System Volume Information. I did run a full system scan using anti-virus and windows defender plus every virus scanner known to man and still it did not pick up the worm. I need help dudes!
You can empty the recycler folder by using Disk Cleanup.
Right Click on the Drive with infected files in Recycler, select properties, and then disk cleanup. Make sure that you are logged in as an admin. Then you can select Recycle Bin and click ok.

Those are protected Operating System files. Those are not the result of malware. To hide, click folder options>Hide Protected Operating Files. Please ignore my last post.
I can confirm your find. You must have change something and didnt know it. You changed your Folder Options under the Tools in Explorer. Simply double click My Computer. Then under the Tools tab click on Folder Options. Then click on View. Now click on Restore Default. Let me know what happens.
