I need to find my Product key

I have an old computer I installed Norton 360 on.    Can find my product key printout.    I now have a new computer and the trial has run out and I want to use my existing product key.    When I access my account it says there are no product keys associated with my email.  I have tried to lauch Live chat and the button won't work.   Is it Monday????

Is there not anyway to find my product key in My Norton 360 on my old computer without involving Norton servers???

Are you looking in your OnLine MyNortonAccount or in your purchasing account?

Log into your MyNortonAcccount and if necessary click on the entry there for the activated version of N 360 and you should see the KEY there.

Or you can try on the old computer looking in My Documents for a folder called Symantec with a file Key.txt in it.

If you don't find it tell us what version of Windows you are using and what version of N 360 you had installed and want the KEY from.

I searched for files called key.txt, I alsoe looked in the Program files\Symantec and Program files\Symantec Shared folders and see nothing.

It is Windows 95 and the latest version of Norton 360.   I only downloaded it 2 months ago.

Hi Jonesy_33,

You can find the product key in your old computer itself. Open My Documents and under My Documents you can find a file that says Norton 360 Product key. In that file you can find the key for the Norton 360. You can use the same key on the new computer and activate the same.

Jonesy_33,

None of the latest versions of Norton 360, Norton Internet Security and Norton AntiVirus are compatible with Windows 95. Kindly try to contact Support using the following link:

http://www.norton.com/chat

You may also try to login to your Norton Account with your alternate email address(if you have any such).

Thanks,

HarryP

I have tried to login to chat from my laptop (which also has norton 360 (different account) and the chat now button wouldn't work.

this is Windows 95 and Norton 360 is installed on it.    There must be a version for windows 95.   I am looking at it.

It might be present but that is not to say you are protected!

Norton will refund your money within 60 days of purchase so I'd go for that and see if there is anything that works under WIN 95 ... I heard recently of something that works under Windows 98 so I can ask if no-one here has a suggestion.

Good Gawd....I typed Windows 95.....I think I was distracted.    It's Windows XP

Hi Jonesy_33,

If you are using windows XP you can find the product key in your old computer itself. Open My Documents and under My Documents you can find a file that says Norton 360 Product key. In that file you can find the key for the Norton 360. You can use the same key on the new computer and activate the same.

Hi,

Wanted to add a bit to our previous employees post the Product Key will be under My Documents->Symantec->N360Key.txt

And the Product key will start with ' T ' ....Hope it helps you

Hi,

I have searched the entire computer for any txt file or various types.   there is no file listing the Product key.    Is it possible to get a refund so I may purchase another copy?   If so, could you email me the procedure?    All I have is my credit card statement for a receipt.

Many thanks,

Les
