I believe the Norton product is an excellent product for what it's supposed to do . . . but it may be the sleaziest product I've seen.
Pop-ups are turned off in Admin, but I still get them . . . I have requests to restart because of updates, though my updates are supposed to take place after 3:00 a.m. . . . Support once told me I had a virus that caused the pop-ups . . . and if you renew manually, you get a cheaper price than if you are on auto-renew. Sleazy.
I believe I'll make the switch. Someone in a suit has ruined this company. I'm sorry, because it's a good product, but apparently not a good company.
I can't disagree. For how much I am paying already for Norton protection I shouldn't have to deal with daily and often multiple times daily pop-ups trying to sell me more services. If I opted in to all of them I'd be paying Norton several hundred dollars a year! Clicking the "don't show again" option doesn't seem to help. Here's a thought Norton. Either just include all these add-ons in the paid subscription or send emails to customers informing us of of available add-on services. I use this product in part to stop annoying pop-ups, I sure don't want to see a ton of them generated by the very company that is supposed to be preventing them!
I am also still getting the occasional error message that Norton failed to update due to all drivers not being stopped. I've had to restart the last 3 days to complete live update. Irritating as every thread I've read in the forums has at least one or two responses from Norton saying it's been fixed. Newsflash, no it hasn't been fixed!
