For the most part it seems to run right, but it's been like this for a while now, and it's not really rare for it to encounter errors.
I'm sure I would just need to re-install it, but I'm not sure what program to use or where to find it.
Any help would be appreciated.
YES! the remove and reinstall tool!
I had used it once before, but couldnt remember the name of it.
Also my date and such is right, thanks for the suggestion though. I'm unsure what caused it, might have been malwarebytes, or MSE that had a conflict at some point. That's the only other antiviruses I've used.

Hi mattleb
As you say you have used the NRnR before there may be some conflict with other security programmes that have real time protection. It is recommended that only one real time security product be running on the computer
Malwarebytes free version does not have real time protection but the PRO and trial version do.
To check without launching Malwarebytes, launch the task manger click process tab, click the description tab to sort A-Z and if Malwarebytes is showing you have the PRO or trial version. This is where it gets complicated, some people run the PRO version with the Norton product and have no problems but if you are getting problems it may be worth considering removing it using the method below.
MSE also has real time protection, but I have read that it can be turned off.
What operating system is on the computer?
What trial security software came with the computer? Remove it using the method below. If it was Norton please repost.
Use the process below to remove your previous security programme. You’ll need to download and save the removal tool from the security software’s main website or use the singularlabs website on the link below and choose from the list.
http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software
Uninstall using windows add/remove programme. Check that the security software is there.
Restart the computer.
Run the removal tool.
Restart the computer.
This process should be performed for each security software to be uninstalled, meaning one at a time. If you have previously uninstalled then the removal tool needs to be run and the computer restarted.
Has Avast been on the computer?
