I understand Norton must comply with federal law with respect to a subpoena. But what about widespread surveillance by the NSA of Americans without prior subpoena authorization? As has now been widely reported since Edward Snowden released many documents proving this, to what extent does Norton refulse to comply with an illegal or unconstitutional government request or "order" such as this?
In other words, can I trust that Norton will protect my privacy and stand up for my rights as an American citizen under the Constitution? Or do you routinely comply with all such requests without demanding further legal justification and appropriate judicial oversight?
