I want to stop Norton from scanning my Backup Files

I run Macrium Reflect for backup. As part of that Macrium Guardian protects those files from being accessed by other software e.g. like ransomware & Virus protection software like Norton Security (provided by my ISP for a 2 year period). I am finding it hard to exclude these files from being scanned by Norton. Can anyone point me in the right direction as I have tried to exclude these files in Norton but can't find a way to do so.

Thanks for that. It was incredibly difficult to locate this on my particular product. I've selected the backup folder on a locally attached drive after your very clear response. I'll have to wait & see if subsequent scans now don't trigger the Macrium Reflect Guardian tool.

To exclude folders and files from Norton Scans go into Norton Settings > Antivirus > Scans and Risks and click Configure beside the two items noted below.
