Change of plan etphonehome,

...it has been decided that this is the best forum for your question.  So there is no need to worry about going to another forum.

Now we just have to wait for someone with an answer.

Finger crossed.  :-)

Hi etphonehome

Have you been able to use Norton Identity Safe (NIDSafe) in the past with out issues

on your iPhone 5.?

Or is this the first time that you have used NIDSafe on your iPhone 5.?

Also are you using the most current version of iOS ( 6.1.2 i think is the latest version)

on your device.?

If not what version of iOS is your device running.?

The more info supplied will help for the Community Forums to assist you with this issue. :)

Also i did notice some feedback in iTunes with users having login issues but the most

recent version of NIDSafe being version 2.1.3 had some  updates and a few were to fix

login issues.

Cheers.:smileywink:

I guess we aren't going to get a response from this user...

I have Norton 360 Security Suite Comcast Constant Guard installed on my Desktop PC's.  I also have my SmartPhone with Norton Utilities and Identity Safe installed.

I have used Norton for 20+ years, as I have used Identity Safe since its origin. I have an Online Vault.

I do not see an Option on my Mobile App. of Merging or Importing into the Mobile's Identity Safe of my Exported Back-Up file from the Local PC's Identity Safe  backup.dat or backup.csv or older version format of *.NPM

I do not notice any verbiage in Norton Settings under Export Data of an option to Merge/Export to Online Vault or to a Mobile Identity Safe App.

I also followed the Opening of My Online Vault per "Accessing Norton Identity Safe online vault" and have done that, however viewing  identitysafe.norton.com/home nothing is listed under Logins, Cards & Notes, and there is no option to Import a Identity Safe file .dat, .csv or .npm file

I have looked at  identitysafe.norton.com/faq and do not see a FAQ regarding importing your N.I.D.S. back-up from your PC

In reading (not from the FAQ page suggestions/options) rather doing a search for Online Vault, one search result is "Merging local vault to online vault" in which it states

In addition to the local vault that you create, you can save your Identity Safe data in an online vault.  When you save your data in online vault, you can access your Identity Safe data from any computer that has Norton Internet Security installed.

You can merge the Identity Safe data from your local profile that you have created into your online vault.

I already have the Local Vault created, but never saw an option in an Online Vault years back.

Following the instructions under "Merging local vault to online vault"

  1. In the Norton Internet Security main window, click Settings.

  2. In the Settings window, click the Web tab.

  3. In the left pane, click Identity Safe.

I opened Norton's Main Screen, clicked on Settings and there is No Web Tab and what is listed under settings is as follows

Antivirus, Firewall, AntiSpam, My Network, Parental Controls, Identity Protection, Tasks Scheduling, Administrative Settings, Backup Settings and a Quick Controls list.

I opened Identity Protection, nothing is listed inregards to Merging Local Vault to Online Vault, what is listed is as follows

Prompt me to log in, Log out of Identity Safe, Browsing Options, Password & Security, Edit Cards, Logins, Notes, Export Data, Import Data, Delete Data

Safe Surfing, Antiphishing, Submit Full Site Information and Norton Safe Web, Block Malicious Pages, Site Rating Icons in Search Results and Scam Insight

4.  Under Identity Safe, in the Move Data Online row, click Configure.

I guess I failed to see when attaching a file, it cannot be a .jpg so the above have been converted to .pdf and you cannot use links to Norton's own webpages Invalid HTML, what next...

What am I missing ?

Thank you very much for any Assistance that I hope does not make me feel like I missed something or overlooked and feel dumber than I am at this point, after 30 yrs experience using computers.

Doc

Can you try one thing for me and go to http://onlinefamily.norton.com and choose Sign in.

If it finds your vault and asks you for a vault password your vault is already online which could by why you aren't seeing that option.  (If I am following this issue correctly).

Thank you,

Rhonda

Thanks Rhonda,

I think the problem is I have used Norton products since 1994, and have an Online Account in the past for purchase/renewal of Norton Products.  However, my Identity Safe data has never been online, only stored on my PC's that I use.  And when I purchased my SmartPhone, at the time I was not a Comcast Customer, then after dropping DSL service (Qwest) went with Comcast and took advantage of the offer to install their Norton Security Suite, when I already had N360 installed previously.

Of course I am thinking Norton is one in the same, no matter if I purchased online or installed via Comcast their NSS.  So when I downloaded the Norton Identify Safe app to my SmartPhone, and logged into my Online Vault, I read the message I do not have any saved Logins.  So I immediately went to NSS (Comcast) thinking I could upload my .NPM file ID Safe file to my Online Vault.

And this is when I learned now ID Safe Exports/Imports in the format of .DAT or .CSV and I backed up / exported my ID Safe data to .DAT, however NSS on my PC does not have an Upload Feature to my Online Vault.

So for now, I shall not use my SmartPhone to access the Internet needing my usernames and passwords and maybe one day once Norton is installed, we will be able to sync our ID Safe File from our Online Vault to any device, no matter the Provider Comcast or Norton Retail.

Has anyone lost or is unable to configure identity safe?  I have it installed on on pc with no problems.  The other pc that shares the same Norton account won't allow identity safe to configure.  The sencond pc has norton 360 on it running fine with the exception of identity safe.  I have tried logging into my account form pc#2, to add it through manager, it won't take it.  I have tried accessing it through clound on a seperate email for my other family member.  I can access cloud but must manually add log ins.  Once that was done I tried logging in on the tool bar in explorer and it doesn't work.  I have tried creating another norton account for my family member but then just shows up with no products listed as they were all done through my account.  Please help - very frustrated.

Ah, I see.  Yes, this would explain things.

I will also reach out to partner services and make sure this feedback is communicated.

Thanks,

Rhonda
