Idenity Safe

Can anyone help me get this to work?  It currently works automatically it seems on my laptop but does not on my PC.  If I go into the Settings for Norton Internet Security I can find the Identity safe column.  It shows as being on yet I have to sign into websites all the time.  The "cards" are not being created like on my lap top.  Some advice would be helpful, I find it is a nice feature and would like to use it.

Thank you

Hi,

Can you please give us more information on the issue you are facing.

1) Is Norton ToolBar enabled in your Browser on which you are facing this issue?

For Internet Explor -> Open "Tools" -> Open "Manage Add-ons" and check whether Norton ToolBar is enabled.

For FireFox -> Open "Tools" -> Open "Add-Ons" -> "Extensions" and check whether Norton ToolBar is enabled.

If its shown disabled then please enable it.

2) If you are using 64-BIT version of OS, then please use IE32 BIT from the path C:\Program Files(X86)\Internet Explore.

Norton ToolBar is not supported in 64-BIT IE.

3) Please mention the browser on which you are facing this issue and the version of the browser.

4) Please mention the Product Version of Norton Internet Security you had installed. (Click on "Support" -> "About"

and check the version number under it)

does IS still NOT work w/64bit IE as of this date, 1/27/2012?  i'm using Norton Internet security 2012. I'm on IE 9.0.8, it comes up as 256bit (about IE), but IE32 BIT from the path C:\Program Files(X86)\Internet Explore is showing as 32 bit, but i don't know for sure, maybe i reloaded 32 bit?  anyway, i really need the Identity Safe, been using it for years, been spending a ton of time trying to get back to it. The 64 bit IE will not permit your to use the NTB.

You must use the 32 bit IE in order for the Norton Toolbar to appear.  In IE click on Help > About.  If it is 32 bit you will see the following (minus the circle).  If it 64 bit it will say 64 bit where the circle is.  You can go to Start, All Programs and you will see Internet Explorer (64 bit) and Internet Explorer listed.

TYVM for the quick reply. I've confirmed that i'm using 32bit - must've gone back to it when all of this got started with the 64bit IE. Anyway,  can't get the logins to come up automatically.  i can't belive that I have a procedure problem (although possibel) but i've been using IS for severl years and rev levels and i know thisprocedure well.  What do you think?

Again TYVM!

Once you get IE 32 bit up, does the Norton Tool Bar display?

A few things to check:

- In IE click on View >Toolbars and see if Norton Toolbar appears and is checked.
- If NTB does not appear,  go to Tools > Manage add-ons and ensure NTB and Norton Identity Protection are enabled.

Post back with results.

BINGO! You're my hero! You can't believe the aggravation that I've gone through for some time.  TIME is the key word here - I guess that if I took my time, was a bit more methodical, and more importantly, came to the Norton Community earlier, I would've met you earlier. What may have seemed insignificant to you, was very significant for me, as a consultant, I'm visiting sites all over the place on a daily basis. So youcan imagine how much IS means to me.  Thank you again - I'll be able to enjoy my cocktail this evening :-)!

I have the same sort of problem  I had to reload v5 of 360 onto my netbook, and cannot get Identity Safe to work.  Can'i even get the screen asking for password.so I can get into the saved log in which I hope I saved when I removed the original programme because the tool bar would come up........not even listed so couldn't enable. Help

Let's start with a question?

Which briowser and version are you using?  Firefox or Internet Explorer?  FF8, FF9, or IE8,IE9 ?

Have you run LiveUpdate (rebooting when asked to) as many times as it takes for LiveUpdate to respond No more updates available?  Depending where you reloaded from - it may take up to 9 reboots - so be patient and keep tryinmg.

I'll wait for your response.
