Identity Safe auto fill sign in for triple step procedure

I have a financial account which uses separate page for user ident, picture verification selector, and another page for posting a password.  Is it possible to auto fillin required info and picture verification fo this site or must I manually work around with info on a note card?

Hi Bbdkrr,

Welcome to Norton Community!

Identity safe supports split page logins which has sign-in in first page and then the password in the second page ,but does not support picture verification selector. Do get back to us if you need further assistance.

S.Venkat

Thank you.  What is the setup procedure for split page sign ins?

Greetings! I am a Mac user who just yesterday became a PC. On my Mac I used a Password Manger which is not available for PC. I have Norton 360, latest version and updates but I have a question. Before I research and purchase a PC PW manager, is the Identity Safe built into Norton 360 a safe, reliable, and useful alternative to purchasing another Password Manager? Also, what PW managers can you great folks recommend? Thanks in advance:smileyhappy:

For few sites like https://www.site-secure.com/html/sovbank/logon.htm  and https://etimebanker.bankofthewest.com/SITE/welcomeie.asp , the username and password will be on two different pages.

Saving the split page login:

The save login alert will come up in the second page once you type in your password, through which you can save the username and password.

Autofill in split page logins:

Once you navigate to the site again the user name will be autofilled in the first page and upon second page navigation the password field will be filled.

Ofcourse.. Norton is known for its ablity to protect your system / data. Identity safe is not a simple feature to jus save your passwords as a plain text. Rather,

  • Your data is saved into an encrypted file which is highly secure
  • Your data is given the next layer of protection though the profile password
  • Identity Safe feature is complimented by other security features like antiphishing, safeweb which inturn protects you from logging into/using fradulent/malicious page
  • Easy to use User Interface to manage your Identity safe data
  • You have backup and restore feature to move your data around safely
  • Portable profile feature enables you to create/export an Identity Safe profile on a USB, which can be safely carried over to other machines

Etc..

Start using the feature and let us know how you liked it. Thanks

Thanks for all the good info! However, the UI is pretty difficult for me - probably because I changed over from a Mac just two-days ago, and am now getting used to Norton and Windows. I will forge ahead and learn the Identity Safe ins and outs. My main problem is that the Safe does not pop up and ask me if I want to save a user ID and password, so I put them into the ID Safe manually. Then when I go to the website NIS does not ask me if I want to fill in that particular web sign-in. Then I have to open NIS and click fill-in, and the web page states that my PW is incorrect. Is there a tutorial on the NOrton site than I can review?

But, I am loving Norton. Again, thanks for the info:smileyhappy:

First of all thanks for your interest in Norton's Identity Safe feature. Identity Safe's basic functionality is to prompt you to save your username and password, wondering y is it not working for you. Have you changed any of the default settings? If not try doing this,

1. Try to reset the profile by providing wrong/blank password twice. (Since you are new and you wouldn't have saved too many passwords, I am suggesting you to do this. Please do this only if you are ready to loose already saved info)

2. Create a new profile and check if Norton is automatically prompting you to save your login credentials

To save your logins manually, do not type in your URL manually. Instead, browse to the particulat site you wish to save and copy the entire URL from the browser. Paste it in the URL field of the new login window. And try if it fills your username and password correctly.

Thalir- Thanks for all of the advice! Coming from a Mac and Intego Internet Security, I'm not used to all of this fast technical service after the sale :smileyvery-happy:. I will follow through on your instructions and visit the links you provided. I want this to work as I trust the encryption in the Norton product. I will try and not bother the forum much on this subject for awhile, and instead, read up and master the Identity Safe. I will update you on my progress, and I hope to be able to give advice soon.

Thankks again--- Hvae tried it but do not see any Save Alert after entering passord on second page.  I don't believe my orgnal statement concerning picture verification is a factor since it is just a visual sighting befre going to second page.  However can't find any Alert msg, if so therebe.
