Identity Safe Auto log me on at boot

Hi,

On the version before I upgraded the brand new pc to version 19 of Nis 18

there was an option to NEVER ASK FOR PASSWORD just log me in at boot

I dont see that now... Its kind of getting old having to punch in the password all the time.

Did I miss where it was that I could set that?

Thanks,

Christopher

Hi,

this option is still available in the 2012 versions as well. You can reach it here:

1. Open the NIS2012 Settings

2. Go to Web -> Identity Safe

3. Click Configure [+] by Password & Security

4. On the new window select No password...

5. Click on Apply

6. Click Apply again

7. Reboot and check Identity Safe, the password should not be asked now

Let us know the results.

Hi Pap,

I do not see that as an option  I see:

* ask me for password at the beginning of the session

*  ask for password before filling out a login

*  Automatically log me out after ........................ min

Hi Christopher,

Are you using the Online ID safe vault? E.g., did you set up your ID safe to be stored in your Norton Account?

The option to not ask for password will not be there if ID safe is set up online through your Norton Account, because it is completely unsafe from a security standpoint to not need to enter a password when your ID safe vault is in the cloud (not on your local computer).

If you really want to have this option you will need to use a local ID safe vault.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Allen

Ahhh yes I am... Thats why!

Thanks,

Christopher
