I'm using NIS2013 with Win8 64 Pro and have been putting up with the problem of the Identity Safe Vault requiring a Browser restart for a long time now, however things are now getting worse as NIS itself has been freezing\shutting down. Norton seem incapable of fixing the Identity Safe problem and now this issue with the whole program apparently shutting down which I'm guessing is related, I have 54 days left of my Subscription on 6 Computers and have used Norton since 2001 but if these issues are not fixed soon I will obviously have to look at alternatives.
I have had one error come up for Norton recently 8504, 5 at the beginning of Aug, the recommended Fix for this was to run the Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool. I have run the Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool, PowerEraser and re-installed several times since the identity Safe Toolbar issue first appeared.
I have enclosed a couple of screenshots (PDF) of TaskManager, shutting down the framework will cause both WindowsError Reporting and SymantecError Reporting to run in the background, after a couple of minutes the framework will restart and Norton will run normally again as in Pic2.
