Identity Safe Stops Displaying Webpage Log-Ins After A Few Days

O.K., I have Norton 360 V3 running on my Gateway laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium. I have Identity Safe configured to display my webpage login-ins on certain websites, but it will suddenly and by itself stop displaying those log-ins even though it shows that it is still on when I log-in to Identity Safe under Manage Identity Protection. I have to turn-off and then turn back on Display my log-ins for each page I visit in order to get it to start working again, but it'll just stop working again in another day or two without me doing anything at all to Norton 360 (by not working any longer, I mean that my log-in boxes on ANY websites aren't green with pre-filled out info any longer). I have to constantly go through this and it's getting VERY old!!

Anybody know why this might be happening?

Thanks,

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

The problem with Identity Safe may have happened due to Norton 360 3.5 patch that Symantec released last week only for a particular set of users(you are one among them). The same version was available for download at that time. Later, Symantec has stopped the distribution of that patch as users faced problems like "Symantec Service Framework" error after the update. To resolve this, you may have to uninstall the current version and install Norton 360 3.0. Symantec will be releasing the 3.5 update soon after fixing all the problems and you will get it via LiveUpdate. Remember to check in Norton Community for any information regarding 3.5 update release and run LiveUpdate on daily basis.

I would suggest you to run Norton Removal tool multiple times(2-3 times, restart the computer after each time you run it). You can download and run Norton removal tool from this LINK. Then download a fresh copy of Norton 360(version 3.0) and install using that. You can download Norton 360 from any of the following links according to the Edition you have:

For Standard Edition: http://www.norton.com/n360s_3
For Premier Edition: http://www.norton.com/n360p_3

Let us know how it goes.

[A similar problem has been reported with NIS 16.7 patch in NIS/NAV board, got resolved by uninstalling 16.7 patch and installing NIS 16.5 version]

I will try that, but I don't think that is going to solve my problem - it's been doing what I described for several months, not just since last week!
